Anushka Wirasinha

Anushka Wirasinha was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka. She is an honors graduate of University of London (London school of economics and political science) and a post graduate (Special studies in administration and management) and assisting lecturer i n Micro Computers and Information Technology, Harvard University. She has authored over two dozen Information Technology publications and is an India Times bestselling author. Her publications have been used as reference texts by schools and libraries throughout the world. In 2003 she was inducted through election by Harvard University to Sigma Xi honor society for research scientists. Her pioneering work in Information Technology has brought her numerous awards and honors both national and int ernational. She marked her place in history as the first Sri Lankan author to put forth computer books in English in Sri Lanka and Introduced Digital Art to schools in the country. Currently she is involved in volunteer and non-profit work to increase computer understanding amongst school children in developing countries.
