Biography:
Barbara Fielder
Barbara
L. Fielder is an author who crafts her stories from real world
experiences. With two non-fiction books to her credit, she
has leaped eagerly into writing and publishing a series of
childrens books, about Missy the Kitty.
In
each delightful Missy story, Barbara brings to every child
a wonderful world where Missy learns a lesson. Naturally the
lesson also applies to the childs life in many significant
ways. Just to make sure the stories and lessons touched the
real world of children, she partnered with her granddaughter,
Brianna, to develop several of them. Her twin grandchildren
Katie and Kyle gave each book critical acclaim, while adding
editorial input. They are given credit as a team of editors
in one of the six Missy books.
After
looking for an illustrator, with little success, Barbara took
up a paintbrush. She discovered that her Missy character sprang
to life, along with Missys kitty friends and family.
This has been a labor of love.
Barbaras
husband, Bill, is her biggest fan. Bills says, No matter
what she writes, I love it. Im particularly fond of
her Missy books; each one tells an important and fun story.
Her illustrations are just the best, colorful and whimsical.
She
wrote her first non-fiction book after moving from California.
She discovered over a lifetime of living, loving and challenges
that communication is at the heart of interpersonal success
or failure. In her book Im Communicating, but
am
I being heard, she tells personal stories and provides antidotal
information to capture the essence of communication, its
promises and perils. In her book Motivation in the Workplace,
published by SkillPath, she describes for the reader how motivation
is developed, nurtured and, unfortunately, many times squelched.
She brings the reader into the world of personal motivation
and shares her secrets, techniques and ideas to bring positive
motivation into the readers personal life and at work.
As
a nationally known speaker, and through her love of story
telling, she engages audiences as she asks them to dive into
the challenging world of communication, listening, creativity
and change.
Barbara
partnered with her mother as the publisher of her mothers
first book, a WWII fictional novel, Wings-His Way.
The story is based on a young mans heroic experiences
as a courageous naval pilot.
You
will discover in every book Barbara writes that you will be
engaged, entertained, and informed.
