Bowker Biography:
Barry Geistlinger

Barry Geistlinger Barry Geistlinger is a poet who writes about love, inner beauty, and religion. He is the author of “Love Profound”, published in December 2004, and author of “Passport to the Future”, also published in December 2004. His poetry has been included in many anthologies, such as “Prominent Voices in Poetry”, “Eternal Portraits”, “Great Poems of the Western World”, and “The International Who’s Who in Poetry”. Barry is the recipient of the “Editors Choice Award” from the International Library of Poetry, presented in May 2005. His works have placed him among the top 25 poets of our time.

Barry’s inspiration comes from the love he has for his girlfriend July who he met over the internet. They’ve never met face to face yet they’ve developed a deep love based on respect and admiration for each others inner beauty. His poetry is about strong values and the meaning of love. His style is extremely heartfelt and passionate. When you read it, the words practically jump off the page. A quote from “Love Profound”: “Your love is on fire. There’s no putting it out. It burns with desire. All others get out!” In Barry’s second book “Passport to the Future” you will be taken back in time to the “Garden of Eden” and then swept into the future to realize what receiving Eternal Life will be like. A quote from “Passport to the Future”: “The sky is all blue. The clouds are all hiding. I’m holding on tight to this horse we are riding. (…) We leave behind a past that is shattered. Our hearts could move on cause they knew what mattered.”

Barry’s first book “Love Profound” is comprised of love poems he wrote to his girlfriend July. Barry discovered his talent after meeting her on the internet via web cam chat. Her ability to express her virtuous love became the inspiration for him to start writing poetry. Each poem expresses his admiration for her scrupulous morals. It’s amazing to see such a love develop between two people who have never even met face to face. A love based on respect for the inner beauty that each of them possess. Witness the incredible leap of faith that each of them make to discover a love that is truly profound. “Love Profound” is a shining example of how big a role love can play in two people’s lives. They both look forward to their wedding that will take place in October of 2005.

Spiritual, connecting, and peaceful are words that describe “Passport to the Future”. Barry wrote this book in only three days after he received a prophetic vision about the future. In this vision, God showed Barry what is going to happen to the Earth and how we will receive eternal life. Barry first wrote down all the titles to the poems in a notebook. Then he started writing the poems. On about page ten, Barry started writing the poem “We Don’t Forget” not really knowing what it was about. Then two lines into the poem, God said to stop and save this poem for last because it is the meaning of life. Barry proceeded to write the next forty poems feeling much anticipation knowing that he would be writing the meaning of life poem. Some doubt had crept into his mind that he could even write the poem, but he mysteriously received the words and was able to complete it.
