Biography:
Beecher Smith
Beecher Smith was Elvis Presley's personal attorney. He still
practices law in Memphis, Tennessee, where he remains "of
counsel" to the Presley Estate. He has had over 100 poems and
40 short stories of horror, science fiction, and fantasy
published. His acclaimed vampire novel, The Guardian
(Hot Biscuit Productions, Inc.), remains an independent
best-seller on Amazon Dot.com. His Elvis fantasy story,
Return of the King, was included in the anthology, The
King Is Dead: Tales of Elvis Postmortem (Paul M. Sammon,
ed., Delta Books, 1994). Stephen King calls him, "The only
person who really knows that Elvis has left the building". He
is a past President of the Poetry Society of Tennessee, a past
Poet Laureate of the Society, and a fellow of the
International Society of Poets Laureate. He has edited the
anthologies, Monsters from Memphis and More Monsters
from Memphis, from which eleven stories received Honorable
Mentions in Year's Best Horror in the respective years
published.
