Biography:
Brian Daffern
Growing
up, Brian Daffern had an imagination that always entertained
his friends and they encouraged him to weave tales.. He
started writing fantasy stories in high school. A chance
meeting in a quiet library with the famous writer, Raymond
Feist, encouraged him to pursue his dream. Feist told him
to set his mind to it and write a novel.
After
winning several writing contests and short story awards,
Brian
turned his attention to novels as suggested. After
suffering a service injury in the Marine Corps and while
recuperating in a hospital for several months, Brian began
to develop the ideas and characters that would grow into
the realms of his books today. He says, Staring
endlessly out the hospital window, day after day, would
have driven
me crazy. I had to direct my energy and thoughts to my
imagination. It was there that Prince Albert came to mind
and I have been
pushing the keys of my computer ever since.
Brian
lives with his wife and four lovely daughters in Northern
California. Continually inspired by the imagination
and innocence
of his girls, Brian has also created the sequels to Prince
Albert in a Can: Prince Albert, Book Two: The Beast School
(ISBN 0-9709104-6-0) and Prince Albert, Book 3: The Realm
Pirates (ISBN 0-9709104-7-9), and Brian has many more up
his sleeve.
It
is Brians hope to help teach
children the value of life and love, and of family and
friendship through his
spellbinding fantasy-adventure novels the Prince
Albert Series.
