Biography:
Carol Edwards
Carol
Edwards was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, the
youngest of three girls, but now resides in Atlanta,
Georgia, where she currently works in Human Resources for a
local hospital. She holds a degree in Business
Administration from Loyola University, with a concentration
in Human Resources Management.
She has just
published her first and second books in a planned four-part
series. Her desire for writing began in college with a
creative writing course. She has written stories and
articles for church newsletters. Traveling, music and
reading are among her leisure activities. She is a current
member of the Society of Childrens Book Writers &
Illustrators (SCBWI), the Small Publishers Association of
North America (SPAN), and PMA, the Independent Book
Publishers Association and Christian Writers Fellowship
International (CWFI).
Carol felt that God
placed in her heart a seed to write a childrens story, but
what she thought would be one story turned into a book
series. Out of this her company, Majestic Publishing, was
birthed.
Once a volunteer for
the adult literacy program, Carol is a firm believer in the
power of reading. She plans her next series to be geared
towards the educational market.
Carol is also a
board member for All Children Are Special, a non-profit
organization based in Atlanta, working to build
comprehensive childcare multiplex centers for working
parents of physically and mentally challenged children.
