Carol Miller

Carol moved to South Florida in 1978 from the Metropolitan New York/New Jersey area. In 1979 she co-founded and operated a successful full service interior design business. Clients include Fortune 500 companies regionally and nationally. In 1992 she relocated the firm to downtown Orlando. Five years later she settled in Lake County. In 1997 she formally closed the corporation. Continuing to consult in design, and to express her talents, Carol is now following her second passion. With an enduring desire to express her creativity in writing, her first novel The Master of Plans was published last June and is now re-issued. The Master of Plans Part II has just been released. Carol is writing a third novel and a can you guess series for children. In order to control her own destiny in publishing, Carol established a new company Defiance in Print, which is based in Tavares. She is a current member of the National Writers Union, Florida Publishers Association and the Florida Writers Association to name a few. In November The Master of Plans placed second in the 2004 Royal Palm Literary Book Awards in the published fiction romance category sponsored by the Florida Writers Association.
