Bowker Biography:
Claudia Gasparrini-Etheridge

 

A scientists with a doctoral degree in the Earth Sciences from the University of Rome, Claudia Gasparrini-Etheridge (also known as Claudia Gasparrini and Claudia Etheridge) became a full time writer during the nineteen nineties. She has been associated with R.R. Bowker since 1989 when she published her first book, Gold and Other Precious Metals. Ten more books followed, with an additional one in preparation (click here to view), all addressed to the educated general public and covering subjects such as the legal system (for example, How to get the most out of the legal system without spending a fortune), domestic mental abuse (for example, The Enemy Within), philosophy/religion/mysticism (for example, When You Make the Two One), subtle discrimination (for example, Subtle Discrimination), psychology, the social sciences and biography. Claudia presently resides in Tucson, AZ, with her husband, Mr. James K. Etheridge, although they travel frequently to Rome, where they have a second home.

Gold and Other Precious Metals - the first feature selection for the R.R. Bowker’s Biography Site, is of a technical nature and addressed mainly to mineralogists, metallurgists and mining engineers. It sold in more than twenty different countries shortly after publication of its first edition, its second edition was taken over by Springer-Verlag - probably the most prestigious publisher of scientific books - in the early nineties, and was out of print a few years after publication in 1993. It is presently in its third edition. Gold and Other Precious Metals has been selected for the Bowker program because - with the price of gold going up every day - so will demand for the book.
