Biography:
Dana Meyers, M.H.E.
Dana
Meyers, M.H.E., is a writer, poet and teacher. She is the
founder of Management Solutions Consulting and Training Services;
The Personal Enrichment Center and Caldera Publishing, based
in Pocatello, Idaho. Dana travels extensively throughout the
northwest teaching workshops, facilitating work groups; and
providing leadership and personal coaching services for clients.
Most
recently Dana has published her first book of poems entitled
Circle of Yellow, Story Poems of Yellowstone
(2002). She is currently working on a natural history essay
to be published in an anthology, Writing About
Winter, Bare Feet Wet Socks,
also about Yellowstone National Park. Dana has been in the
technical writing field for almost 20 years writing training
manuals, business proposals, strategic planning documents
and writing grants for funding nonprofit services. She has
published articles in professional journals; she wrote a year
long series of monthly articles for a local newspaper; and
she was a contributing writer to an anthology on watersheds
in 1999.
A
native of the Salmon River country in Idaho, Meyers brings
a lifetime of personal connections to nature and the wilds
into her recent work. She has been involved with outdoor adventure
and recreation most of her life. Dana is an avid hiker in
summer and extends her hiking into winter with snowshoeing
and skiing. She spends most of her summers within the Yellowstone
ecosystem of Island Park, Idaho.
