Bowker Biography:
Dennis Kirkpatrick

Mr. Dennis Kirkpatrick is the author of The Staff Helper, Financial Fundamentals of Managed Care. His company, Medical Management Contractors, has provided physician practice management services since 1983. In the 1980s managed care began to sweep into Northern California. From 1993 to 2000 Mr. Kirkpatrick was privileged to manage several IPAs. His hands-on experience with managed care resulted in the creation of the Staff Helper CD-ROM.

Although Mr. Kirkpatrick has retired from the company, The Staff Helper will continue to offer an education resource for those interested in managed care and its relationship to patients and healthcare providers.

Mr. Kirkpatrick completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Alabama. He has consulted a wide range of medical entities including hospitals, physician practices, Independent Practice Associations and employer self funded health plans.

Mr. Kirkpatrick came to healthcare after a successful career in private enterprise. His prior business assignments included: Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Operations and Branch Sales Manager. Mr. Kirkpatrick’s mix of business and healthcare experience is unique in the healthcare industry.
