Biography:
Dorma Jean McGruder
Dorma McGruder has been a gifted national speaker since four
addressing crowds of 10 to 10,000 in political, social,
educational and religious venues. She has taught Gods Word
for over 25 years and is an elementary and middle school
storyteller. She has been featured on local Detroit Cable
Stations reading her poetry. Her two books, The Power of
Prayer and her first fiction novel will be published in
the beginning of 2006. After studying Business Administration
and Accounting, she is pursuing her degree in Theology and is
a licensed ordained minister.
God called her into intercessory prayer as a child. Dorma
visits hospitals, hospices, nursing homes and private homes,
teaching Bible classes, praying for the sick and serving Holy
Communion.
She started recording Prayer CD's and Tapes and distributing
them wherever requested in 1997. The valley from then until
now has been filled with challenges, much love for God's
people and His Word, as well as patience and determination for
each phase of her ministry. There is also her undying faith as
testimonies pour in about those who have seen better days as a
result of listening to her prayers. She says, "People are not
blessed because of me. They are blessed in spite of me. God
could have chosen anyone to do this, but He chose me to do
this work. He promised when I prayed, He would hear my
prayers, answer my prayers, and bless His people. He kept His
promise. I would take nothing for this."
