Biography:
Eron Manusov
Eron
Manusov is a physician in a small, rural community in North
Carolina. He spent 16 years in academic medicine, researching
happiness and teaching students of medicine. He now lives
in North Carolina with his wife and four children where,
in his spare time, he writes, paints, and plays music.
Eron Manusov obtained his Bachelors of Science Degree in
Psychobiology in 1980 from the University of California,
Riverside. In 1984, he graduated from the Uniformed University
of the Health Sciences, School of Medicine. He completed
a residency in Family Medicine and spent the ensuing 16 years
in military academic medicine.
In
1993, Eron completed a Fellowship in Faculty Development
that emphasized writing, research, and professional communication.
He then spent 5 years as an Assistant Professor in Family
Medicine at his alma mater. In addition to research and publication,
he was responsible for medical education, leadership, and
medical staff development in both conventional and alternative
medicine. Although he has a second degree in Sports Medicine,
his area of research concentration has been mental wellness,
and in particular, happiness and spirituality.
In addition to many awards in research and teaching, he
was awarded the Kemp Award for Best Manuscript Published
in American Family Physician, an international journal for
family medicine.
