Biography:
Homa Pourasgari
Homa
Pourasgari was born in Tehran, Iran and moved to United
States to learn English at the age of 12. She received a
degree in Business from Loyola Marymount University, after
which she left to live in Paris for a year and attended the
University of Sorbonne, focusing on literature. She has been
traveling most of her life in order to learn about different
countries, people and cultures.
While working in
various industries such as retail, banking, marketing,
accounting and fitness, she wrote two novels which she never
published. About four years ago, she started having serious
back problems and was bedridden for almost a year. Bored and
frustrated with not being able to do anything, she decided
to go back to her old passion writing.
While in bed with a
laptop resting on her legs, she started her third novel,
Lemon Curd. With two unpublished novels behind her, she
decided to get this one in print. As her back started to
heal through physical therapy and swimming, she hired a
freelance editor and worked hard for the next three years
until she finished her book.
