Biography:
Irina Gajjar
Dr. Gajjar was born in Romania, educated in the U.S. At Bryn
Mawr and other fine universities. She holds a Ph.D.. In
linguistics. Although she was Jewish, she married a very
special Hindu. A gypsy fortune teller told Navin, her husband,
that he would meet a foreigner and marry the woman who would
become a famous writer. He did not tell her until after they
were married. He encouraged her to pursue her writing and
translating, and together they have very successful grown
children in America.
Irina began to question current
philosophical and political ideas, after all, she is inured in
both Jewish and Indian culture, and raised and educated in
America. When she presented a paper at the International
Association of Near-Death Studies on the Hindu views of the
near-death experience, she knew she had to explore the other
issues in America today.
Currently, she lives in Mazatlan, Mexico, and travels widely.
