Bowker
Biography:
Jacqueline Chinn
When
did you realize that being creative made your hear sing, that
helping others made the world seem like a friendlier place?
Did someone guide you to that realization, did you just happen
to stumble upon it? Jacqueline Chinn wants to help parents,
grandparents, and caregivers guide our very young children
to see their strengths, and to encourage their individual
talents. Are they good at solving problems? Do they like to
entertain us? Do they have athletic ability? Are they artistic?
Do they like to help others?
After
working as a volunteer with struggling children of various
ages, Jacqui noticed that while these children could tell
you very quickly what made them unhappy, they were not as
clear about what made them happy. They were missing an important
life skill. The greatest gift we can give our children is
to encourage them to do what makes them feel competent and
pleased with themselves; then we have taught them how to make
themselves happy.
Jacqui
has a special connection with children; she loves to help
them become the best that they can be. She is an enthusiastic
photographer, and will hike almost anywhere to get a good
photo. She enjoys reading, gardening, and working on home
projects. She makes herself happy by spending time with her
husband, children, and grandchildren.
