James R. Lucas

 

James R. (Jim) Lucas is a groundbreaking author, provocative speaker, experienced consultant, and recognized authority on leadership and organizational development. He is President and CEO of Luman Consultants International, Inc., an organization which he founded in 1983. This consultancy is dedicated to developing passionate leaders, people, teams, and organizations. He is an award-winning senior faculty member of the American Management Association and a professor in the School of Professional Studies at Rockhurst University.

Jim is also the Executive Director of the Relationship Development Center, an organization dedicated to helping people develop and enhance their crucial life relationships. This is accomplished through public speaking, retreats, conferences, seminars, workshops, books, tapes, and other resources. He has been a frequent guest on many television and radio programs across North America.

Jim is the author of thirteen books, including three books on leadership and organizational development, four books on parenting, three novels, two books on knowing and relating to God, and a marriage preparation book for young people. His books have been translated into multiple foreign languages. He has a passion for sharing deep truths in a clear, lively, provocative, and inspiring way.

Jim and his family live in the Kansas City area.
