Janice Gillespie

 

Many years ago, I had a conversation with my sister Flo, we begin to talk about my life and all the things I'd been through. At that point I realized I should share my story with the world, and to those who felt that life had dealt them a bad hand. So, I sat down and wrote this book "Against all odds" (volume one) the story of my battle with Sickle Cell Anemia. I really felt by sharing my story, I could help someone who was suffering physical, mental, and verbal pain and abuse see, that they are not along and that there is hope. I wanted them to know that there is a rainbow after every storm.

In 1994 I Founded my own company, Janice Gillespie Productions in Chicago, Ill. I also attended Medical school. Upon completion, I became an Inspirational speaker and I speak to people all over the world letting them know that they too can make it against all odds . My extensive studies, research and personal experience with SCA has allowed me to teach Medical Students and Staff about this disease. I also make sure that patients are receiving proper medications and treatments for their conditions. I've been very successful in helping and saving lives. I'm also working on my second book "Against all odds" ( volume two) which is an continuation of my story.

This book is dedicated to those of you who are depressed because the Doctors have given you or your loved ones a grim prognosis, and also to you who feel like giving up. After you read this book I'm confident that you'll have the answers and the tools you'll need to make it!!
