Liz Kulp
Liz
Kulp, a dynamic teen with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder
(FASD) provides the unsuspecting world a closer look at what
it is like to live with this disability. Her book, written
when she was thirteen, takes the reader by the hand on a journey
with her family in living with fetal alcohol exposure. Children
with FASD struggle academically, physically, and emotionally.
Their unusual behaviors are often misunderstood and their
disability misdiagnosed. Over 45,000 babies in the USA are
born each year with this disability, more than all the children

It is truly a hidden disability that wreaks havoc in the childs
life, the family in which they live and the community they
grow up in. Families, professionals, friends and persons with
FASD enjoy Lizs story, her words help many believe
life holds possibilities when you have a better understanding.

is 100% preventable and is the #1 cause of birth defects in
the United States, yet our culture ignores it. Liz has been
a fighter since infancy and chose as a young teen to fight

the effects of prenatal alcohol exposure on the life of a
young person. Liz has testified at the Minnesota State Capitol
and spoken on the Ricki Lake Show, Whatever Show for Teens
and speaks nationally with her mother Jodee. For three years
her group MoAngels performed inspiration music for social
