Margaret Lawhon

Margaret LawhonA professional journalist for more than twenty years, Margaret Lawhon has been writing about health and health-related topics since 1995, first as the medical reporter at WBRZ-TV in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and most recently as a freelance journalist working in both the broadcast and print media. In addition to her work in the medical reporting field, Lawhon writes a monthly column for the Baton Rouge society publication, InRegister. She is a member of the Screen Actor’s Guild and has had feature roles in a number of films including Schizopolis, Dead Man Walking, Madame le Consul (a French television production) and the recent adaptation of the John Grisham best-seller, Runaway Jury.

In her spare time Lawhon studies French and oil painting and enjoys hunter-jumper horseback riding with her six-year old thoroughbred, Cade. A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, Lawhon lives in Baton Rouge with her husband, attorney Martin A. Schott.

"..this book is a gripping thriller, a plot-driven page-turner that will
leave readers in a cold sweat.....Lawhon has exploited that danger to produce a first-rate thriller that is also a call to action."
