manager, and free-spirited creative writer, Margot Silk Forrest
is a unique breed. Don't ask her how these seemingly opposing
energies ended up in one person, or how they manage to live
and thrive in harmony, but they do. And well.
A
former top-ranked manager for Hewlett-Packard, and news editor
for the San Jose Mercury News and Dallas Times-Herald, she
is co-author of two popular non-fiction books, The Soul
in the Computer: Story of a Corporate Revolutionary and
EMDR: The Breakthrough Therapy. In 1992, Forrest
founded The Healing Woman, an international nonprofit organization
for adults recovering from childhood abuse.
In
2001, Forrest followed her dream to change the world,
one heart at a time and wrote her first book with this
focus, A Short Course in Kindness, which was published
in April 2003. She is currently working on her next project,
The Shapes Happiness Comes In.
A compelling speaker,writer, and workshop presenter, Forrests
wisdom, wit, and down-to-earth style inspire her readers and
listeners to take action by using her tools of kindness
