Biography:
Shannon Ingram
Shannon Ingram has been enthusiastically embracing the written
word since the age of 12 when her first television review of
The Bob Hope Chrysler Theatre was published in her
hometown newspaper. She has a B.A. degree from the University
of California, Irvine. She has been Editor of This Week
Magazines, Hawaiis largest-circulation visitor
publication, Marketing Manager for Walt Disney Resorts at
Disneyland in California, Managing Director of Marketing
Communications for Intelligent Electronics (a computer
distribution company) and Regional Vice President of Marketing
and Account Management for a large corporate travel management
company headquartered in Colorado. She was owner/principal of
The PR Directors, a public relations firm in Honolulu, before
joining Stryker Weiner Associates, one of Hawaiis largest PR
agencies, where she executed award-winning communications
programs for prestigious clients including Sheraton Hotels in
Hawaii, Hilton Hawaiian Village, The Honolulu Marathon and The
Hard Rock Café.
In 2003, Shannon and her husband, Gary, relocated from
Colorado to California in order for Shannon to care for her
aging parents. Her book, The Heart Way A Journey From
Corporate to Care, is the story of her enlightening and
humorous experience of leaving a thriving career to become a
caregiver. Currently president of Orren Stewart Press, the
publishing company she founded in 2005, Shannon is also an
accomplished speaker and trainer on a variety of topics
related to handling stress in the corporate world, eldercare,
caregiver support and marketing communications. She conducts
From Corporate to Care workshops nationally and is available
for keynotes and seminars.
