Biography:
Sherry McLaughlin
Sherry
McLaughlin is the founder of the Michigan Institute for
Human Performance and TriPLAYnar Technology, Inc. headquartered
in Southeastern Michigan. She is married and a mother of
a 12 year-old autistic boy, a consultant.
A
1990 graduate of Andrews University, Sherry has practiced
in out-patient
orthopedic rehabilitation clinics in southeastern Michigan
for over 15 years. Sherry has also served as an adjunct
faculty member of Macomb Community College since 1993,
instruction courses in physical therapy and kinesiology.
In 1998 she founded The Michigan Institute for Human
Performance, a consulting and training company specializing
in injury
prevention, sports specific conditioning and orthopedic
rehabilitation.
She
has also developed seminars and injury prevention programs
for several large corporations, such
as General Motors, Delphi and Sears. Sherry is known
by her peers, students, employees and seminar participants
as a thought leader in biomechanics through her insightful
methods in orthopedic rehabilitation, injury prevention
and sports-specific conditioning. Though she has authored
several texts regarding physical therapy, "Lessons
From the Couch" is her first work of this type.
She currently resides in Birmingham, MI with her husband,
son
and two cousins.
