Tammy Jo Schoppet is the founder of Rental Decorating Digest and is author of Decorating Your Rental Space: A Do-It-Yourself Guide for Apartment-Home-Studio-Dorm.

In November of 2000, Tammy began her search, " .at midnight, in her pajamas in the middle of 40 country acres" hunting for information to help decorate her own 2300 square foot rental. She realized that most decorating resources were geared toward helping the homeowner, which in most cases would break a renters' contract.

After contacting decorating professionals willing to give their best tips and resources, Tammy was sure other renters would be interested if ideas were more centrally located. Always the entrepreneur, she developed a small online website listing her findings.

This small seed of an idea grew into Rental Decorating Digest which has been an online publication focused on helping renters create stylish living environments, while staying with rental guidelines. Since the company's online debut in December 2000, her number one website has evolved into a worldwide loyal readership of fans sharing ideas and suggestions to decorate in any type of rental, from apartment, home, studio, dorm or even a small hut!

Tammy lives in the Central Valley of California, with her husband and four children.
