Biography:
Trisha Price, B.S., D.V.M.
Trisha
Price was born in Lansing, Michigan. At age 5, she moved to
Bethesda, Maryland with her family. Her father took a
research position at the National Institutes of Health, and
her mother, also an M.D., practiced medicine from an office
in their home.
Trisha attended
Goucher College, Syracuse Universitys Semester Abroad
Program in Italy, and Michigan State University as an
undergraduate student. She received her Bachelor of Science
Degree from MSU and went on to pursue a career in veterinary
medicine, receiving her D.V.M. from MSUs College of
Veterinary Medicine.
After graduation she
practiced small animal medicine in Ann Arbor, Michigan and
Southfield, Michigan before moving to Monterey Park,
California to establish her own practice. While in
California she met and married her husband Chuck. In 1986
their daughter Jess was born. In l988 they returned to
Michigan, where they continue to make their home.
Anorexia: A
Parents Perspective is a book written by a parent with
a background in biology and physiology. It presents a
detailed discussion of the physiological changes that occur
in anorexia, the survival risks of anorexia, the pros and
cons of inpatient and outpatient treatment, and 25 important
and highly productive steps that can be taken by parents or
family members to support recovery.
